New Music from upcoming Artists

New music is always exciting, and there’s never a bad time to discover new talent. The Internet and mobile technologies make it easy to discover new music; however, it’s hard to track it all. Spotify has over 75 million active users. You can access over 200 million songs worldwide just by using the free, web-based app.

I have done my best to compile a list of some of the best new independent music out today. It is possible that I missed something important – so please feel free to correct me in the comments. Also, new music releases frequently, so be sure to keep checking back often.

Snowflakes by Tom MacDonald – The independent rapper and internet-breaking firebrand, unleashed his new single just weeks ago and has already climbed up the BILLBOARD emerging artist charts.

Mood by 24kGoldn – Featured on NMEs 2021 list of emerging artists, 24kGoldn’s music is laced with nostalgia and is full of hope.

This is Growing Up by Almost Monday – An alt-pop band providing some California sunshine to listeners during the pandemic.

¡párate! by Alaina Castillo – Alaina couples her distinctive, silky vocals and gut-punch lyrics with stripped-back R&B instrumentals, spangly synth-pop sounds and banging, club-ready Latin beats, proving her sound’s one of the most versatile around.

Chicken Tendies by Clinton Kane – His first solo single of 2021 is not about food, but about accepting things and relationships, he can’t change.

YA by Yendry – The 27-year old Dominican-Italian artist and X-factor participant finds inspiration in everything from Beyoncé to bachata to Aphex Twin.

I’d rather be Alone by Brye – The rising star and 2020’s TikTok sensation describes her music as “confessional pop”. She was featured in People’s list of talented emerging artists and is said to channel the artistic prowess of Lorde and Billie Eilish.

What new music have you been listening to? Let me know in the comments.
